The Bukhara Carnival is a hand-embroidered Suzani throw that turns any bed, sofa, or wall into a statement — a festival of violet, teal, olive green, and salmon coral dancing across a jet-black cotton canvas.
Named after Bukhara, one of the great Silk Road cities of Uzbekistan, this throw honours the Suzani tradition: an ancient form of textile embroidery passed down through generations of Central Asian artisans, each stitch placed by hand and each motif rich with centuries of symbolic meaning.
Pomegranate medallions — representing fertility, abundance, and good fortune — are framed within circular vines and spiralling foliage. Daisy wheels ring the borders; scrolling tendrils fill every inch of the black ground. The result is a piece that feels simultaneously ancient and alive.
Every throw is unique. Slight variations in colour placement and stitch density are the fingerprints of the artisan — proof of authenticity, not inconsistency. No two Bukhara Carnivals are exactly the same.
